FAQ :
All your answers here
How many people are on your road trips?
Our groups generally range between 16-20 individuals, depending on the trip. You will be accompanied by our trip leaders.
How good a driver do I need to be for one of your road trips?
Our trips are on established roads although the quality of those roads can vary widely. Our trips are suitable for anyone with reasonable driving experience. You don’t need any special off-road skills but regular driving experience would be beneficial. We will be offering a special briefing session before the start of every trip.
Do I need an international driving permit/license?
Most countries have varying requirements. You will be notified much in advance about the same. Wherever mandatory you will need to arrange for an International Driving Permit/License.
Is it advisable to bring children?
We wouldn’t recommend children to join our road trips as the style & tempo of our tour is designed for adults.
What is the accommodation like?
We hand pick our properties to provide you an experience like no other. Our properties are located in some of the most picturesque locations. We have a mix of offbeat properties – luxury villas & upscale 4* category hotels/resorts.
Will I be sharing the room?
Yes, rooms are on twin sharing basis across all our properties.
What are the meals like?
Surprisingly good actually, keeping in mind the remote corners that we travel to. Breakfast is usually continental with eggs and fruits. For lunch we have designated stops. Other times we will be in a small town or village where that can meet our needs. Dinner is our main meal and we try to experiment with new ingredients and local produce. We have options for veg/non-veg meals.
I have specific food habits, can I join the tour?
Yes
How long are the driving hours?
They vary. We try to keep them not more than 5 hours on any given day (avg. 2-3 hrs per day). We also make sure we have either rest days or late starts/early finishes mixed in. Itinerary is designed in a way that you can explore the location as well as enjoy the driving experience.
In case of a breakdown, what are the steps to be taken?
Emergency breakdown assistance is provided by the car rental companies.
In case of damage to vehicle do I have to pay?
The vehicles are insured, including third party liability. These are of course subject to the laws of the land and we have to abide by that. In case there are some damages that are not covered or you fail to inform in time, you may be liable to pay. But we have all the safety element factored in, so there is little probability that this situation may arise.
In case of unavoidable circumstances, can I cancel my booking?
Yes, if circumstances are such that you are unable to make it, you can cancel your booking. Cancellations are subject to our cancellation policy.
What are the taxes involved?
5% GST and TCS is applicable on all our tours.
What happens if an activity mentioned in the brochure is cancelled by the local operator?
While we make every effort to ensure a seamless travel experience, Flytrail shall not be held liable for any disruptions or cancellations caused by acts of nature, force majeure, or any unforeseen circumstances beyond our control. This includes, but is not limited to, natural disasters, weather conditions, government actions, and other events that may affect the execution of the planned activities.
